Artist Bio – Paul Henri Martel
Paul Martel
Paul Martel (b.1966), of St. Isidore, Alberta, is a down-to-earth, self-taught painter. He made his appearance on the Peace Country arts scene in 2004, and has been embraced by regional painting aficionados ever since. His works are easily recognizable, usually featuring electrifying skyscapes, in dramatic colours, with explosive lines. Paul has a very striking, distinctive style, and the ranks of his collectors continue to swell.
Paul's artwork is heavily influenced by the rural landscapes of the Peace Country. This transplanted Edmontonian has lived in St. Isidore and worked as a teacher in Peace River for 17 years.
